Adventurer Dunc Wilson was born in Greenwich, London, where he was gifted a childhood of being whisked away on camping holidays in Wales, Scotland and France.
After moving to New Zealand in 2008, mostly by train, he spent several years ticking off every track in Auckland’s Waitākere Ranges. That done, he climbed aboard a bike and spent eight months cycling 11,000km around the coastline of Aotearoa-New Zealand.
This life-changing outdoor adventure became the focus of his 2019 book ‘The Big Loop’.
Currently confined to Auckland, Dunc spends his mornings producing Three's morning news and entertainment programme The AM Show and escapes at weekends for ‘micro adventures’, while plotting his next epic journey.
