Sara's Story - Supporting Sara Cohen

Sara Cohen is the owner of @hakinakina.active and living with stage 4 cancer.

We wanted to show our support for Sara as she embodies The Ama Life attitude by showing strength and resilience in the face of adversity and we love the ethos behind her brand, Hākinakina.

In April last year Sara was told her cancer had returned and was now stage 4, Sara has decided to focus on getting busy living. Her motivation is to focus on the here and now, to fill her life with love and adventures and to create something awesome as a legacy.

Sara has decided her mission is to create a global space that inspires and supports women like herself with terminal illnesses to live big, joyous, thriving lives for whatever time they have. To do this, Sara is using her business Hākinakina - an eco UPF 50+ Sun Protection Swimwear brand - as financier to her healing and her mission.

Sara is a year into her stage 4 diagnosis and is doing incredibly well. Her cancer is shrinking and she is still out paddle boarding, surf skiing, walking and doing yoga. She is taking a fully integrated approach to her healing which is pretty expensive.

Please share this post or perhaps visit Sara’s page @hakinakina.active and share her story. Every little bit of support helps Sara fund her treatment and continue her journey to help others.
